I was getting the yellow get genuine office notification bar on a computer with Office 2016 and KMS activation as outlined here. Using https://msguides.com/microsoft-software-products/office-2019.html fixed that, thanks, and I know https://community.msguides.com/d/359-get-genuine-office-yellow-notification-bar-on-office-2019-apps/13 would be another go-to if the problem creeps up again.
But here's my problem. Somewhere in my trying to fix 2016 or installing 2019, my Firefox 86.0 browser got goofed up. It opens. But nothing will load a page. Not loading from history, typing URL, using bookmarks. Even about:config or tools:options does nothing. Just the address in the address bar, no effort at all visible by the browser to load a page, and the browser window remains empty.
Also, quitting Firefox takes a lot longer. There are two running FF processes in my task manager that just linger until I force them to quit.
Completely uninstalling and reinstalling FF has not fixed this. I'm just using Chrome, and I had saved my FF passwords and ported those in. So I can again connect to the web fine. But on principle, wondering why FF just stopped.
Since FF was working, then stopped working as I did this, I am guessing that some of the scripts/voodoo I used based on this site cause the problem.
I'm on a different computer now, but I had first tried the 1click.bat (or 1click.cmd) file that was once listed on msguides to do the KMS activation of Office 2016.
Otherwise, I used Method 1 from https://msguides.com/microsoft-software-products/office-2019.html
Honestly, I see nothing in those commands that I'd think would mess with Firefox (though I don't claim to be an expert). They all seem Office-centric, with nothing that would affect FF.
